Background

Hi, welcome to my portfolio! My name is Sarai Aguayo (my first name can be pronounced as sah-da-ee). I’m a UX Designer based in the Bay Area, California. I used to work with smaller companies and filled multiple roles within the organization while trying to incorporate practices that would increase efficiency. This gave me the ability to think about things that might make an experience more enjoyable and easy to navigate.

I’ve developed a keenness into thinking about ways to bring in solutions and thinking about how to make them better. My background gives me the ability to think about business ideas and create impactful user experiences through design. I obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Marketing and a Minor in Visual Communications from San Francisco State University. I also completed a three-month UX Design immersive boot camp with General Assembly.

As a UX designer, I am driven by the desire to understand what motivates a consumer and how to make this product more appealing and easy to use while ensuring it is inclusive to all users. Using a human-centered design approach helps me solve complex business problems and put the user at the core of the design.

I hope you enjoy reviewing my work and learning about my design approach!

In my free time, you’ll find me learning to solve Rubix cubes and growing my collection. I like to spend time outside either on walks, hikes or even just relaxing in the sun. I even taught myself to do acrylic and gel nails for myself and my best friends!
