Speculative Projects

This was a speculative project in an immersive UX design course. Our task was to find a local business whose website brought on UX challenges. During this 2 week sprint, I conducted interviews to get insight on people’s different experiences using the website and used these findings to help design a solution with a website redesign.

This was a speculative project in an immersive UX Design course. Along with 3 other team members, we conducted interviews to get consumer insights and how to best fit their needs in the design of the Petsmart Pet Portal.

I am in the process of refining another speculative project.

Design Process

I use a double-diamond approach to my designs. It first begins by talking to people in interviews to understand, rather than assume what the problem is. This helps me put the user first as we are trying to understand their needs & aspirations. From there the insights are gathered to gain an understanding of the defined challenge the user faces. The ideating stage begins and everyone works together to encourage different answers to the defined problem. The double-diamond design process is an iterative process where ideas are developed, tested, and refined several times to improve what works and drop the things that do not work. This creates a collaborative environment between team members and stakeholders to find a solution for their users.
